The Robertson family name has been an integral part of the rich Scottish history since the early 14th century.
James Robertson, following in the family tradition, strove from humble roots to become a championship piper
and master cabinet maker. After many years of hard work perfecting his craft, he combined these two
passions in the early 1930's to establish 'Robertson Musical Instruments' - fine, hand crafted instruments borne
of an obsession with perfection, yet still attainable to the common man.
The company grew from a local trade to the worldwide company that is now known as Robertson
International. Despite the growth of the business, and the diversity of the product range, the vision and ethos
of James Robertson still remain true to this day.
And it is with this passion and desire for perfection that we proudly present Robertson Pianos. While it is true
that the technology and production methods have improved immeasurably since the days of James Robertson
- the simple principles of quality instruments at an affordable price remain at the forefront of our product.
We like to think there is a wee bit of Scotland in every piano.
